ABC’s THE WHISPERS has set up a complicated triangle for trio Lily Rabe (Claire), Barry Sloane (Wes), and Milo Ventimiglia (Sean).
Claire has been mourning the loss of her husband, Sean — who she thought was dead — while also holding on to the guilt she had over her affair with her former colleague, Wes. But now Wes found out Sean wasn’t in his plane when it went down — and the sketch of a man who was close by to a suspicious explosion matches Sean’s description — so Claire has to figure out what happened to her husband. And unfortunately for Sean, he has no memory.

While John Doe continues on his mysterious mission, Claire attempts to hold back his sketch from the other bureau offices while she investigates on her own whether he may truly be her husband Sean, who had supposedly perished in a plane crash. Lena is aware and not too pleased that Wes has been speaking with Claire about a case, and Drill continues playing his dangerous game with Minx, Henry and Harper.

THE WHISPERS — ABC’s new supernatural drama — debuts tonight, and much of the initial unknown insanity is centered around children, and their “imaginary” friend, Drill. (Adults — and viewers — can’t see Drill, but we do hear the various children’s side of their conversations with the creature. And, certainly, viewers see the fallout from the kids’ “game” with Drill.)
But while a lot of the show rests on the kids’ shoulders — and they’re incredibly impressive in doing so — the young actors were delightfully joyous on the show’s Vancouver set.
