After two weeks of Give Me My Remote readers nominating their television favorites from the past year, it’s time to vote for the 4th Annual GMMR TV Awards!

Most of the categories have five nominees, but due to ties, the number can vary. (And, as a reminder, each category can only have two nominees per show, so only the top two vote-getters from any particular series moved forward.)

It appears TROPHY WIFE will not return for a second season on ABC: while reps for the network have not responded to a request for comment, multiple stars from the show tweeted that the show had been canceled.

TROPHY WIFE: Sarah Haskins and Bradley Whitford Tease the Two-Part Wedding ‘Saga’

TROPHY WIFE’s Kate and Pete got married before the show even started, but in tonight’s brand new episode, they’ll have the chance to have a proper wedding.

“We have a two-part wedding episode…that’s really fun,” TROPHY WIFE executive producer Sarah Haskins told reporters about “The Wedding.” “Kate discovers Pete’s old wedding tapes [for] his marriages to Diane and Jackie in the garage. And [Pete and Kate] eloped, but she kind of does want a wedding, even if she thought it was too girly [at the time] and wasn’t that kind of person, she realizes she wants a wedding. So it turns into a whole saga.”

‘We Have Thoughts’ Vodcast: Danielle and Marisa Talk About the Best New Show, Characters, Twists, and More of the Season So Far

We’ve seen a good amount of content from the new shows, which means my friend/vodcast partner Danielle Turchiano (from Made Possible By Pop Culture) and I have fallen (hard) for some of the freshman series.

ABC Picks Up Additional Episodes of THE GOLDBERGS, TROPHY WIFE, and SUPER FUN NIGHT, But Passes on Extending BACK IN THE GAME

ABC handed out good news to three of its freshman comedies and bad news to another: THE GOLDBERGS and TROPHY WIFE have been picked up for full first seasons (which means they got an additional nine episodes ordered), while SUPER FUN NIGHT got an additional four episodes ordered for its freshman run.

The only bad news of the night comes for BACK IN THE GAME. Co-creator Robb Cullen tweeted: “So, ABC has decided NOT 2 move forward w @BackInTheGameTV 2 all of u fangles and friends, I can’t begin 2 thank u for all of ur support.”
