When the Dome’s calcification process accelerates, Chester’s Mill has 24 hours before the barrier’s breakdown will suffocate everyone inside. While the new deadline puts added pressure on Joe to bring the Dome down, Barbie and Julia race to save his child from The Kinship. Also, Big Jim tries to manage the increasingly volatile Hektor (Eriq La Salle), who is adamant that infected townspeople never escape the Dome

CBS has opted to end UNDER THE DOME, the network announced.
“Two years ago, UNDER THE DOME broke new ground in the summer and became an instant hit on CBS, as well as with viewers around the world,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment in a statement. “DOME’s event storytelling and multi-platform business model paved the way for more original summer programming with the successful rollouts of EXTANT and ZOO. We’re excited to present the final chapter in Chester’s Mill as the story comes full circle, with the Dome coming down as dramatically as it went up.”
UNDER THE DOME’s series finale is slated for Thursday, September 10th. And you can check out a promo for the series finale here… Read more

Comments Off on UNDER THE DOME at Comic-Con: Live-Blog
UNDER THE DOME is returning to Comic-Con. Check out the official panel description, and follow along for a live-blog starting at 11:15 AM PT.
“The hit summer series is back for its second season, bigger than ever with higher stakes and catastrophic developments that leave no one safe under the dome. The inhabitants of Chester’s Mill must decide who to rally behind as Big Jim continues to fight for the town’s trust and allegiance, all while resources dwindle and the post-apocalyptic conditions continue to intensify. There are new faces, bigger mysteries, betrayal of alliances, and monumental revelations about the dome, which will lead to a shocking discovery of what is behind it. Journey back under the dome, where you can’t always believe what you see and nothing is impossible. An exclusive sneak preview at what’s to come in season 2 will be followed by a panel discussion with the cast: Mike Vogel (Bates Motel), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight), Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, and Mackenzie Lintz, along with executive producer Neal Baer.”

UNDER THE DOME: Neal Baer Teases Season 2

Comments Off on UNDER THE DOME: Neal Baer Teases Season 2
UNDER THE DOME is back tonight with a very special season premiere — Stephen King (who wrote the book the CBS series was based on) is penning the hour.
“Stephen writing the episode is really sending us off into a place that he feels really proud of and really loves and it’s his kind of ideas of how to go beyond the book,” UNDER THE DOME showrunner Neal Baer told reporters last month during a panel for the series. “And so that’s really special for us to have Stephen launch us this season. And…what’s better than having kitchen appliances and barbecues come to life? That’s so Stephen King.”
As the season 2 premiere plays out, a few familiar faces will meet their end (and one death is particularly violent), but some newbies will be joining the show to make up for the losses.

Comments Off on ‘We Have Thoughts’ Vodcast: Danielle and Marisa Talk UNDER THE DOME’s First Season
Now that the CBS/Time Warner strike is over, I had the chance to catch up UNDER THE DOME…so, of course, my friend/vodcast partner-in-crime Danielle Turchiano (from Made Possible By Pop Culture) and I had to vodcast about what went down.
As it happens, I also sent her some emails while I was catching up, so she reads a few of those in these vodcasts, I roll my eyes a lot about what went down, and we discussed the first season as a whole, so if you’re caught up on UNDER THE DOME, check out what we had to say…
